Our local community has changed many times over the years. Different groups of people have arrived from different countries, for different reasons and at different times!
Some of us move because we want to, maybe we are looking for a new home, a better job or to be nearer other members of our families.
Some of us move because we have to, maybe it is no longer safe in the countries or areas we did live in, and Leicester is safer for our familiy.
Whatever reasons make us move, Leicester is our home now. As a community we live together, and we all have a responsibility to look after each other and the area in which we live. If we do this, we know that we will be safe so that we can build a better future for us all.
