News Bulletin - April 2024

 Dear Parents,

Eid Mubarak! to all of our families who have been celebrating. The children have been telling us all about what they did, and it has been lovely to see the excitement on their faces. We hope you managed to catch up with family and friends.

We are busy at school, the children are working hard in lessons and looking forward to the warmer weather.

There are some important messages below, please read these, and as always if you have any questions, concerns or ideas please come and talk to us.

With reagrds,

Ms Gita

School Security

You may have noticed that we have installed new security fencing around the main gate to the school office. This is for health and safety, as well as safeguarding reasons for the protection of our children. It is to prevent any unauthorised entry or exit from the school site.

All the gates will be opened at 8.30am as usual,  and classroom doors will open at 8.40am, as usual. All the gates will be locked at 8.50am.

If you arrive after 8.50am please press the buzzer on the main gate and the office staff will let you in. You will then have to go through to the school office to gain access to the school site.

If you need to pick your child up or attend a meeting through the school day, press the buzzer as usual and you will have access to the main office. We will then help you with whatever you need.

If your child is in Nursery, drop off will follow the usual procedure and you can walk round to the classroom. From Monday, 15th April all nursery children will need to be collected from the main office door. Please wait outside the office and the nursery staff will dismiss the children once they have seen the adult that will be collecting them.

This new arrangement will make the site much safer for the children, protecting them further, from any unauthorised visitors and ensuring any child can not leave the school site during the day.

The photographers will be in school on Thursday 18th April to take class photos for all children in Nursery to Year 5.

If you do not want your child to be in the photo, please let their class teacher know or inform the office.

Eid Dress Up

We will be celebrating the festival of Eid on Friday, 19th April. All children can come in to school dressed in their favourite festive clothes.

Eid, which marks the end of Ramadan, which is celebrated by Muslim’s all around the world.  During this time families come together to rejoice the completion of this annual act of devotion of fasting.

We look forward to seeing the children in their lovely colourful outfits.
