Strike Action TUEsday 2nd may
Dear Parents,
I hope you are well, and yenjoying the longer bank holiday weekend.
I am writing with an update regarding strike action for tomorrow, Tuesday 2nd May.
All classes will remain open, except 3 Poland, which will be closed. If you have a child we have classified as 'vulnerable', you will have received a text message last week to inform you that a place has been made available for your child so please bring them to school. We will not be teaching them but will ensure they have a productive creative day. If you have any questions or believe your child should be classified as vulnerable and you have not received a text message, please come and talk to us tomorrow. Whilst it may not be that many teachers are on strike, if they have other responsibilities that I have been unable to accommodate then class closure becomes inevitable.
If you would like to understand more about the strike action, there is some information from the NEU here and alternative points of view can be found from the BBC here.
There is no further action planned by any unions at this time, however, it is likely that there will be further disruptions as an agreement with the Government has not yet been established.
My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
With regards,
Ms Gita
