Shenton Primary School

Empowering and nurturing young minds to achieve excellence

Fun Things to do at home!

Dear Parents,

This page will give you some ideas of how you can support your Nursery and Reception class children.

In these difficult times, when we are likely to be at home for a lengthy time, it is really important to keep a daily routine for your children. Try and make a timetable for your day, wake up time and routine for breakfast, breaking up the day with times for play through physical exercise, making sure you share a book (online or with a real book) every day, and making sure your children go to bed at a set time. Have a list of ideas for what your child can do/play as well, they could help you cook! It is also really important to stay positive, say 'well done' or 'that's great' at least 5 times a day to your children. This will help you to manage your and your children's days happily.

If you need any help please email Mrs Bailey ( cbailey@shenton.leicester.sch.uk ) for further advice.
